For those who couldn’t be there, here are my ‘5 Top Takeaways’ from what was an excellent event:
NDIS pricing is heading in the right direction. The combined impact of the March price increases and the indexed increase is a significant 20-27%.
The “Issue most likely to keep providers awake at night” was NDIS processing and administrative issues. The financial burden of this means that providers are funding the NDIS implementation.
The cost of SIL vacancies is the major “sleeper” issue. It was the focus of many lunchtime conversations.
One provider shared that his organisation had been waiting 3-6 months for an “urgent plan review”. Overall his organisation is currently owed $8 million in unpaid crisis accommodation.
